From tranquility to local life

At Paarskylä, you can be at peace but never isolated. Just a short drive from our historical hill await the coast's most talked-about culinary experiences and the rugged nature of a national park.

Teijo National Park – hiking trails for everyone

A fifteen-minute drive from Ilopakka awaits Teijo National Park. It offers a wild counterweight to the sheltered arboretum of our grounds. In Teijo, the sea, forest lakes, and marshes meet in an easily accessible way. The area’s numerous, well-maintained hiking trails are suitable for all ages. A day trip to the national park finds its perfect conclusion when you return to the hill of Ilopakka and warm up the courtyard sauna.

Mathildedal and the charm of ironworks villages

Situated right next to the national park, the historical ironworks village of Mathildedal is the cultural and culinary heart of the region. It has awakened to a new bloom in recent years while still retaining its authentic, unhurried atmosphere. Artisan bakeries, a coffee roastery, a village brewery, and high-quality restaurants have settled into the old brick buildings. Mathildedal is the perfect destination when you want to enjoy lunch among people or fetch freshly baked sourdough bread and local delicacies for Ilopakka’s large dining table.

Perniö – Smooth everyday living

The luxury of a long stay includes the effortlessness of everyday life. The services of Perniö’s center, with its grocery stores and pharmacies, are only a few minutes’ drive away. You can enjoy your own peace knowing that all the basic necessities of modern life are always quickly accessible.
