The great advantage of the Finnish summer is its natural diurnal variation: even after bright, warm days, the evenings reliably cool down, guaranteeing a restful night's sleep in fresh air.

The doors of Ilopakka open when northern nature is at its most beautiful. Our season begins in early May, as the maple avenue leading to the house blooms and the arboretum awakens from its winter slumber. Midsummer offers long, luminous days and vibrant greenery that never becomes exhausted, even during the warmest periods at these latitudes. As September arrives, the oak grove and old deciduous trees wrap themselves in deep autumn tones. Then, the crisp, darkening evenings create the perfect setting to retreat into the soft heat of the courtyard sauna.
