Heating an old house and large spaces requires energy. We have solved this by transitioning the entire property to modern, emission-free geothermal heating. It is a quiet and invisible force that utilizes the property’s own heat stored in the bedrock. This guarantees an even indoor climate across all seasons, completely without fossil fuels.

Measurable biodiversity – ArbNet accreditation

We don’t just “let the grass grow” and call it nature conservation. The 1.5 hectares of Ilopakka are an active ecological restoration project. We systematically map, protect, and supplement the area’s woody species. Our goal is to achieve official accreditation from the international ArbNet network. It is a credential based on scientific evaluation, guaranteeing that our work for biodiversity is real and documented.

Effortless circular economy

Acting responsibly on holiday should be easy. We have designed Ilopakka’s waste management so that sorting requires no extra effort from our guests. Biowaste is composted; plastic, glass, metal, and cardboard are sorted and recycled. We ensure that everything continues its journey appropriately into the recycling loop.
